Pumpkin Patch Visit

The first Sat. in October we got the idea to take the kids to the pumpkin patch. Daddy was at the deer lease and Aunt Stacy was kind enough to let us stay the weekend at her house to hang out with her. So Sat. Morning we were up and at the Owens Farm in Plano. It was so much fun and the kids had a blast. When we got there we got in and for 7.00 you got feed for the goats and a free hot dog. So with our feed in hand and ticket for a free hot dog we made our first stop to feed the goats. Both kids loved it and Tanner was trying to give kisses to the goats. Then we were off to ride the hay ride. We got to see the ducks and try to find the missing farmer....I personally did not ever see him. After the hayride we all worked up an appetite so we got the hot dogs and made our way to a picnic table right by the horse stables. There were a few horses there and even two mini horses. To end the day Aunt Stacy bought each of the kids a small pumpkin and the kids got to go and pick them out in the pumpkin patch. Laynie had to run down every row before she got hers and Tanner would pick them up make you think he was going to keep it and then he would throw them down(total boy) finally we found just the right pumpkins and got a photo shoot to show off the chosen ones. All in all it was a wonderful day and wonderful weather and wonderful visit to the pumpkins patch

The new zoolander

Look out Derek Zoolander, there is a new male model in town. Tanner William. This little guy is the least bit shy when he sees a camera. He does his ever so famous "cheese" pose and now is doing the look down at the camera with a ever so cute smile. I just entered Tanner in a gap cover shoot photo contest. I know we have had some issues with people trying to vote and I do have the down low on this. You do have to register one time and then can go and vote everyday. If you can do it we are really hoping our little model wins and who know this might be the start of something.

PreSchool Update

Laynie has been in school now for one month. She is doing well and really likes it. They do a circle time everyday and the do what is called a calendar routine: date, month, year, days of the week, tracking the number of school days, weather, songs, alphabet review, number concept. They also have story time, activities which include making a craft of using there hands and have learning centers like home living, reading, blocks, cars, play dough, writing and the felt board (which is Laynie's favorite) Chapel and Spanish class are rotated every other day and Laynie really likes both of those. She came home the other day and told us it was her turn to hold the bible on the way to chapel. She was so proud. Class pictures are coming up this week can't wait to get the very first school picture ever to keep and then show off when she is older. lol. Looking forward to watching Laynie learn and grow in this experience and get ready for the big K.....Kindergarten.
p.s. a special thank you to three people for what they do. You know who you are. We love you
More updates to come and of course a blog with the first ever school photo. Until then. Peace and Love

Fall Nights

It has been so nice these past couple of evening that we have been going outside after dinner to hang out. I am cherishing these nights because I know we are going to wake up soon to some crazy winter weather. Laynie has really loved being outside and Tanner I believe should live outside because he dislikes being inside. Dad and I have been enjoying it too and taking in these precious moments we have with the kids. God is Good and we are very blessed to get to have wonderful fall evenings.
